Snowed In... Part II

Fast Facts: Information for Parents & Parents-To-Be
Snowed In... Part IIChildren in Snow

Don't let the snow get you down. When the kids say they're bored or get tired of building snowmen, send them outside to try out one of these fun activities:

Snow Tic-Tac-Toe
Grab twigs to form a tic-tac-toe board. Use rocks, twigs, or anything you can find to play!

Snow Painting
Drop 5-6 drops of food coloring (using different colors) into several water bottles with sprayers. Fill the bottles with water; cover and shake to mix. Take outside and "paint" beautiful works of art!

Saucer Tug-of-War
Form a line in the snow; use snow paint, snowballs or a snow wall to make the line. Divide into two equal teams (or do this one-on-one), taking your saucer sled with you. Grab either end of a long rope and pull. The team that doesn't cross the line wins.
